Maritime Container Services Pty Limited commenced operations on October 1st 1973 and is recognised as Sydney”s oldest established container storage and repair company.

MCS started from humble beginnings with only four (4) staff members, three (3) customers and the capacity to store 500 TEU”s (Twenty foot Equivalent Units).

Over the years MCS has gained a reputation of supplying quality service and a total company commitment to the objective as outlined in our “POLICY STATEMENT”. As this reputation grew so to did the customer base and the need for greater capacity.

Today MCS has 120 staff members, over 100 customers, operates four (4) divisions and has a combined capacity to store over 15,000 TEU”s. Our modern road transport fleet consists of ”B” Doubles, Side-Loaders, Retractables, Drop Decks, 40ft and 20ft trailers plus other specialised equipment.

MCS Rail incorporates a complete rail service within a Container Depot environment. Services include container Storage, Repairs and Transportation. MCS provides a daily shuttle to / from Port Botany Terminal. MCS Rail is one of the largest rural loading coordinators in the state of New South Wales.

MCS was one of the first Container Park operators in Australia to develop their own in-house tailored computerised tracking system. MCS is again investing in its Operational IT System and in 2007 a state of the art system was introduced with great success.

MCS is proud of it's proactive achievements in the field of O.H.&.S. (Occupational Health & Safety) and Environment Protection policies and procedures. Equally as important is the risk management associated with O.H.&.S and Employee Rehabilitation programs.
