Redevelopment of Cooks River Terminal 

Maritime Container Services is constantly looking for ways to improve the efficiency and quality of the services it provides to its customers. MCS is embarking on a significant redevelopment of its Cooks River Terminal which will aim to achieve the optimum configuration for the storage and handling of empty shipping containers via road and rail. Cooks River Terminal will become a facility that has the capacity to handle over 12,000 TEU supported by an efficiently managed rail and road operations while servicing businesses like the new grain packing joint venture facility. Other services to be offered are FCL storage both Free Goods and Underbond. At the 1st January 2008 MCS entered into a 20 year lease with Sydney Ports Corporation.
